Outside of Islam, and within its “fundamentalist” interpretations, it is understood to mean holy war. There is another meaning that the term has been used to refer to; namely the inner jihad to remain a pious, observant Muslim. The Unitarian Jihad takes on both aspects, within our own context. By now it is widely known that our ranks are filled with ideocide bombers, graffitoclasts, chaosophers and tantric missionaries. What many do not realize is that as we act to tear down the conceptual idols and Towers of Babel of the orthodoxy, we are also smashing and rebuilding our own constructions. Impermanence is one of the Three Marks of Existence. The orthodox must not realize this, for they cling to their institutions. I get to edit the entire page?! This looks potentially dangerous. :-)  It would be nice to use something like this instead of YahooGroups. The UUA [http://lists.uua.org/mailman/listinfo/pr-l PR email list] (PR-L discusses Growth, "Evangelism", Public Relations, etc., which includes web sites but I usually refer detailed web info to Websters) and we have a "files" collection at [http://groups.yahoo.com/group/UUPR/files/ YahooGroups] as we don't have another user-friendly resource. YahooGroups, though allows uploading of graphics, pdf's, etc. Could Wikis do that also? - Joyce

Note that a complete history of all versions of all pages is maintained. So anyone can easily revert a page to an earlier version to deal with vandalism.
