Hi Margy,

I edited some of the Webmaster Policy stuff, but am now wondering whether I should have. Please feel free to revert anything I did.

It is a bit confusing to me, and after looking at that page as a whole, it occurred to me that it seems to have been intended to function as a specific and complete, static policy..... rather than a "policy Wiki" that we all work together to modify and refine.

Since both concepts seem valuable: the examples is good, and the Wiki approach is fundamental to this site.....

I was wondering if perhaps you couldn't post it as a reference. You might write a brief Wiki intro to a general topic of church web or digital communications policy and then reference this text as an example of such a policy. I think you could make the reference either by posting it somewhere else and linking to it (that would prevent bumblers like me from performing Wiki edits) or put the policy in a distinctive quoted section or something like that (I'm not refined enough on MediaWiki syntax to know how or if that's a doable thing). I'm also open to other ideas....

In any case, I don't think this example policy should be presented in a way that might make it appear to be authoritative or definitive for all UU's or UUWiki visitors. The text seems crafted to address some specific, subjective circumstances and philosophies. It seemed to do that quite well, and I think it works fine as an example. But, I don't think it's comprehensive enough or flexible enough to either serve as a general guide or stand alone on a Wiki page.

Respectfully
Mark
